autumn

This adorable OES is Autumn, who found her furever home on October 24th, 2025. Autumn's dad can't even begin to describe how important this dog is to him, nor how much he appreciates the work RROESR and Janelle in El Paso put into setting Autumn up for adoption! She had another cancer scare (luckily unrelated to the cancer she had when she was found), but with the help of a skilled surgeon, "she's 100% cleared and finally just gets to be a dog" as his vet put it. (We are sending all the health vibes.)
Autumn sure helps keep her dad grounded with his head on straight (and on a swivel for her shenanigans)! Autumn continues to help him practice mindfulness by slapping the phone out of his hand any time he's scrolling on the couch. (He's thankful for the reminder, but equally surprised his phone has yet to break...we'll check back with him in a couple of months!)
Autumn is such a unique combination of being a little shy and completely down for any adventure. She loves a good car trip to a park, though not meeting every single dog there continues to be an anguishing experience (LOL)! She's also rapidly becoming a coffee shop dog, where she loves to meet new people and squeeze her way into conversations and new tables. Her dad shared he's never had a dog so many people gasped at and immediately complimented as Autumn, and she's quite disruptive when she walks into a room. (How could you ignore a dog so beautiful?!)
Autumn has worked tirelessly to become best friends with her elder brother, Lamour, a 16-year-old black short haired cat, and after 7 months he (mostly) agrees! (We'd love to see the antics these two get into!)
Autumn wasn't the biggest fan of bully sticks at first, but now chews on them with the richest look of relaxation that anyone can describe. She's equal parts elegant and "comfortable in her own skin" and insists on snuggles throughout the day, preferably laying on her dad, head on his chest. (We'd NEVER get anything done!) In the past month, the "rest" of her personality has come out. She now regularly mimics (mocks?) her dad's loud yawns with those of her own, (we need a video!) likes a good roll around on the floor while barking randomly at 2pm, and is quick to let him know when she'd prefer to go a different way on a walk than the blocks he was considering. It's just such a delight to have a charming, sweet, and (at times frustratingly) smart partner in crime to work with through life. Dad's cat and him are so lucky to have Awesome Autumn (or Autumnal when she's being a little challenging) in their lives, and they owe it all to RROESR. (This is the BEST kind of love story!)
