Bambi
This 2-year-old OES, Bambi, got to join her furever home on March 21st, 2026. Bambi and her sister were surrendered by a police officer, who did not have time to properly care for both of the dogs.
Bambi is a lover, licker and a leaner. She is a gentle giant and balances the energy in her home. Bambi and her now sibling, a 2-yr old Australian Shepherd, became fast friends. In addition, the two cats are also much happier with Bambi in the mix since she takes care of entertaining Trixie!
While Bambi has found the perfect home for her, she isn’t a fan of rain, wet grass or puddles. (Little princess!) She is very particular about when and where she potties and she does jump up on people sometimes. (oops!) She weighs in at 80lbs, which is a lot of dog to jump. (We’d say she’s just making sure you know she’s there!)
Bambi loves to go to the dog park to interact with other dogs and run (when she feels like it!) She spends most of the day napping or entertaining herself with the other dog or bones and toys. When her humans’ work day ends, she is ready for love and attention. At night, she sleeps on the floor or mat and is quiet through the night hours. Each morning, she eagerly greets her family and is ready to start a brand new happy day.
Even though Bambi has only been with her family for 2.5 months, they already cannot imagine not having her as a member of their family. Bambi is the second OES that her family has had and she is their first rescue dog. They shared that there is something uniquely different about her. It's as if she knew that she was rescued and appreciates every little thing that she has now, which she may not have had before. She loves being loved! (Sure sounds like she got the perfect home for her!) Prior to getting Bambi, her Mom was predominantly a "cat person”…Bambi has converted her to a "dog and cat person” and she adds, she’s obsessed with Bambi! (And we can most certainly understand why!)
